I am seeking family information on my paternal grandparents, George Robert
BLACK, b. 30 Aug. 1962, Southwark, Surrey, UK, and Flora WEST, b. 21 Jun
1869, Bermondsey, Surrey.

They emigrated from West Ham, London, early in 1904, to Toronto, Ont.,
Canada. GRB died late 1935 or early 1936 in Toronto (essentially from WW1
service-related illnesses) and his wife died about 1950 in the greater
Toronto area.

GRB's father is also thought to have been named George and his mother Mary
Sara KENT. My grandmother's parents were William Frederic WEST, thought to
be of Southwark, and Hannah COCHRANE, probably b. 12 May 1851, in
Bermondsey, Surrey (now London).

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who might connect with this English line
of BLACKs. Thanks to all.
