Surname: Black, Green, McCanlies

J "Lan" Black is in my family! His father is Alexander Frierson Black,(b
1829 MS, died Aug 1902 in Dawson, Navarro Co. TX. He came to Freestone
Co. TX in late 1850 or early 1851, perhaps with the Benjamin Blair Black
family. (He was single at that time.) Another family in the wagon train
was the Greens. Lan's mother was Lucinda Green, dtr of Timothy Wilson Green
and Nancy Brinsfield or Brentfield(something like that, we haven't been
able to place her exactly). Lan was #3 of 14 children of that marriage,
9 born in Blount or Madison Co. AL and the other 5 in Freestone Co. TX.
I am a descendant of their only daughter, Margaret Jane Black (5th child).
I have information on the other children of AFBlack and Lucinda Green.
There is a Black Research Group looking for more information to link us
to Benj. Blair Black and a common father, perhaps.

I would appreciate very much any additional information you can give me
on Lan and his family. I have these children for Lan, but have few descendants
in this line. (I made a family group sheet for you but it bounced. Write
& I'll send it.)
