I am looking for the family connection of my WILLIAM BLACK, SR. of
Beatties Ford, eastern Lincoln Co., NC. I am also looking for some of
his missing children.

WILLIAM BLACK, SR - born pre 1755; died 1825, Lincoln Co, NC; married
(1) Unknown; (2) 12 Oct 1809, Lincoln Co, NC, Jemima
Winters/Withers/Weathers. He may have had another marriage in between.
Children of William Black, Sr. by first wife:
1. ROBERT BLACK - no information; may not have lived in Lincoln Co.
2. JOHN BLACK - in 1831/2, he was living in Giles Co, TN.
3. WILLIAM BLACK, JR. - born c1774; may have married Elizabeth Nixon,
1 July 1797, Lincoln Co., NC; he left the state before 1830. Did he go
to the Cape Girardeau Co., MO area?
4. ELIZABETH BLACK - died before 1831/2; married a Long.
5. SAMUEL BLACK - may have married 3 March 1807, Lincoln Co, NC, Patsy
Baldwin. He was living in Mecklenburg and Iredell Co's NC after about
1817. Would like to find his descendants.
6. ISABELLA BLACK - died before 1831/32; married a Will or Wier.
7. JAMES BLACK - born 11 July 1792; d. 1825/29, Lincoln Co, NC; married
1806/07, Lincoln Co, NC, Susannah Allen, d/o Vincent Allen. Many of his
descendants remained in Lincoln Co, NC.
8. AUTISON (Aughterson/Otterson/"Aught") BLACK - married 13 Oct 1808,
Stanly Allen, d/o Vincent Allen. They moved to Cape Girardeau Co, MO
before 1840. "Aught" died there before 1850 when Stanly Black was shown
on census records.
9. MARY ANN BLACK - died before 1800; married 28 April 1787, Lincoln
Co., NC, John Kincaid, Jr. She had 3 children: Nancy & Anny, both
married Allens; James Kincaid.
10. JOSEPH BLACK - died c1817, Lincoln Co, NC; married 1816, Lincoln
Co., NC, Margaret Allen, d/o Vincent Allen. Soon after Joseph Black
died, Margaret Allen Black married Philip Dellinger and moved to Cape
Girardeau Co, MO.
This Black family may have come to NC from the Charlotte/Prince
Edward Co area of VA. They were closely allied with the Nixon and John
Kincaid, Sr family who also came to the Beatties Ford area of Lincoln
Co. from Charlotte Co, VA. They may also be related to a Black family
in northern Mecklenburg/Iredell Co, NC. How?
Any clues to the origin of this family of William Black, Sr. , and
descendants of his children will be welcomed.
