I am new to this list, I am trying to find thefamily of my GGrandmother,
Louise BLACK Hudson. She was born Nov. 7,1874 possibly in Charleston,SC.She
had at least 2 brothers,names unknown, who may have gone to NC after the
Civil War. She also had 1 sister, Mamie,
who married Junius Parks and lived in Greenville,SC.
I believe that her father was a carpenter or engineer of some type,it is
reported that he supplied horse to the Confederacy in the swamps of SC. Her
mother was 1/2 Cherokee Indian.
Louise was married to James Emory Hudson and they lived in Atlanta ,Ga.where
they raised 3 sons, James,Jr.,Henry Harold & John Wesley.
She died in June of 1972 and she and Mr. Hudson are buried in the
Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta.
Any information on her,parents and/or siblings will be greatly appreciated.
