AHbullard,

In response to your question about where John Black, d. 1825, Screven
Co.,Ga... was born...beats me! The only clue I have is on a census of his
son's...(Douglas Black)...was info that his father, who would be this John,
was born in South Carolina. I know for sure that John (d. 1825)... I hope
I don't have to go thru the rest of my life referring to this man as "John
Black, d. 1825" !...as I was saying...John Black's father and mother were
born in Ireland.

As for your Henry Black...you might investigate Henry Black, listed in
muster roll of the Baker Repeaters, Baker County, Georgia (not far from
Alabma line) 26 Dec 1861. Other Blacks: Peter Black, Rensom (Ramsom)
Black. (source: Albany Georgia newspaper: 26 Dec 1961 from internet:
bak/repeat.html at www.geocities.com. Your Henry would be too old to be
same man, but could be related...anyway it is a clue.

If you will list your Black family, names and ages, I'll be on the look-out
as I research mine in Georgia.

Barbara
