For persons interested in locating copy of "The Black Family of Carrabus
County, N. C. and Abbeville, S. C. "
Info I have on this family came from an article I read in The Genealogical
Helper, Sep & Dec 1955 issue, written by Jack Ladson, Jr. I just jotted
names and dates down as my John Black's parents, (he was b. ?, d. 1825
Screven Co., Ga.) came from Ireland and the dates & names fit so well into
my family. I have not attempted to find the book. Since Jack Ladson gave
his address as Moultrie, Georgia...one good source to contact would be the
Ladson Library at Vidalia, Georgia. Another, Washington Memorial Library,
Macon, and even N. C. Archives.
If Washington Memorial Library in Macon has the book they will graciously
copy the index/pages for you. They have a very accomodating, efficient
staff.

Hello,
This sounds like the family I need. Do you have more info on them? Where
can I get "The Black Family of Cabarrus Co. and Abbeville, SC?"
I'd appreciate your help.
