I need help finding where my BLACKS came from in PA. So this was a good time
for me to have Pennsylvania as the word of the week. Elizabeth BLACK, b.
9/8/1794 in PA, d. 1/10/1859 in Carroll CO IN, married John ALLEN, b. abt.
1790 in PA, d. 5/12/1849 in Carroll CO IN, marriage date unk. They had 4
children in PA: James, 1814, Nancy, 1814 (I don't know if I was given the
wrong date, they are twins, or one was born at the beginning of the year and
the other at the end?), John 1817 and George Washington 2/12/1819. Their 5th
child, Daniel, was born in OH in 1824 as were George William, Miles & Samuel.
They had Henry in Carroll CO IN in 1831 and their last child, Andrew Jackson
ALLEN b. 1836 in Carroll CO IN. After John's death in 1849, a lawyer,
Nathaniel BLACK, came to help Elizabeth settle the estate. He divorced in
wife in Snyder CO PA and stayed on in IN where he remarried. Not sure of
Nathaniel's relationship to Elizabeth. Can anybody help with my family in
