"ROBERT MANSFIELD EDWARDS

April 30, 1931-March 22, 1999

Robert Mansfield Edwards, 67, of Poway died Monday. He was born in
Denison,
Iowa. Mr. Edwards was retired after working as a hospital administrator.
He
had retired after serving as a colonel in the Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Ann Edwards; daughters, Debbie Hanley
of
Columbia, S.C., Sue Carlson of Concord and Tammy Black of Redlands; son,
Jeffery Edwards of Highland; stepdaughter, Lori Froebe of Escondido;
stepsons, Steven Froebe of Poway and William Froebe of Escondido;
stepmother, Agnes Edwards of Logan, Iowa; sister, Shirley Whipp of
Escondido; and 14 grandchildren.

Services: 10 a.m. tomorrow, St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, 16275
Pomerado Road, Poway.

Donations: Palomar/Pomerado Health Systems, pancreatic cancer research.

Poway-Bernardo Mortuary is handling arrangements. "
