This is the first info request I have every sent. Hope I am doing it
okay....Looking for any info on Frederick Joseph Black(my .ggrandfather) and
his brother William Francis Black. They were the sons of Samuel Robert
Black, Greenbrier Co, WV. Frederick Black married Rebecca Benson before
1840 and they moved to Knox Co Ill and then to Henry Co Iowa. I was told
they had seven children. Will married a Pamelia Lovell of Brattlebere, VT
and had four children,William, Arthur, Robert,and Alice. The original
immigrant ancestor was a Scotch Irish Presbyterian minister from Northern
Ireland in the early 1700s.
