Peggy,
I read your description of the immigration of your BLACK ancestors with
some interest. I have been researching my own BLACK family and have gotten
them from my ggggm Isabelle Nannie BLACK, b. 1837, in Edgefield Co., SC, to E.
Mark BLACK and wife Margaret A. (ANDERSON perhaps?) who were also born in SC.
E. Mark BLACK was the son of James and Mollie BLACK. From other researchers, I
have it that James migrated to South Carolina from Virginia. Does this
information possibly link the James BLACK you mentioned in your post to my
James BLACK? Thanks, Keit
