Your message about BLACK/ABBOTT research intrigued me. I have been
looking for ABBOTTS and BLACKS together.

Daniel Abbott MURPHY is in my tree. His mother was Adeline BLACK,
daughter of Colonel and Senator James BLACK of Georgia. Adeline's
family has been pretty well documented, but I have been looking for
information about Daniel's father, Jeremiah MURPHY. During my search I
have been looking for a meeting of ABBOTTS, BLACKS and MURPHYS, but have
been unsuccessful so far.

The MURPHYS and BLACKS were in Georgia during the late 1700's to around
mid-1800. Some of them later went to Alabama and Cherokee County,
Texas.

If any of this sounds familiar, let me know.
