Hi

I am looking for a James Black, bn 1755 and died September 1827. His wife was Rachael ?. His children were Lydia Black and Moses Black. This is all I have for James Black.

Lydia was married in 1804 to Jacob Willis. The Willis' were in Rowan in 1800 & 1810, Rutherford in 1820 & 1840, Caterart in 1830, and Cleveland in 1850. All these counties are in North Carolina.

In 1860 Jacob and Lydia were in another state. My line of Willis' ended up in Arkansas. There is a town in AR named Stamps that is full of Willis'.

Hope this info rings a bell with someone.
