James & Sally Black bought land from the Holland Land Company in Hanover
Township, Chautauqua Co, NY in 1822. The ones who died in Chautauqua Co.
are buried in the Nashville Cemetery located about 5 miles East of
Forestville, NY.
When Philemon married Hannah Scofield in 1850, they left to live in
Nauvoo, IL for five years before moving on to Bethlehem, Wayne Co, Iowa.
and then in 1877 moving on to Fort Collins, Larimer Co, CO.
