Hello,
I saw several Blacks on your surname list on Tripod. I'm hoping you might
be able to help me.
I know nothing at all about my biological grandfather except that his name
was Cyril L. Black. He was born in Davenport, Iowa around the turn of the
century. He was married at least twice that I'm aware of. He had a daughter
named "Billie" from his first marriage.
In te late 20's he was married to my grandmother Gladys Adams. They had
another daughter named Lauretta Lois. (my mother)
They divorced in about 1933 or 34 and Cyril took "Billie" and left Montana.
Do the names Cyril or "Billie" (I'm assuming that "Billie" was short for
Wilhelmina or possibly Willena?) fit anywhere in your family tree?
