Hi Juhling,
I am have been trying to obtain information about my
great grandfather and any other of my Black ancestors.
Something you wrote to Mary Lou prompted me to write.
My great grandfather was Samuel Brown Black, born in
West Virginia January 11, 1832. I do not have any other
information about him prior to that, nor do I know who my
great grandmother was. He is about the right age to be
the grandson of your Samuel Black and Rebecca Meeks.
Samuel's mother being a Brown, their geographical location
and the naming pattern used in those days, has stirred my
interest. Do you have any other information that may indicate
a link? Any help or information you may have would be greatly
appreciated.
With warm regards,
Del
