Hello all....

I am working on locating where in PA my great-grandfather Joseph BLACK b.
about 1797.

I have spent some time going through the PA archives. I located a Joseph
BLACK for the 1820 census Bradford County, PA. However, I don't believe it is
my great-grandfather but could be my gg-grandfather.

Also, looking at the name patterns I wonder if my BLACK line may have been in
Conemaugh Township, Indiana County, PA.

Therefore, if anyone has a Joseph BLACK in their tree from PA, I would like
any information you can give me. Also, if anyone knows of the any early
history of the BLACKs in PA, it would be of great help for me in trying to
determine where in PA my BLACKs were.

I know my great-grandfather was no longer in PA in 1830 because my great-
uncle, Joseph Whitney BLACK (aka: Whitney) was born in New York.

Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
