Hello, Tinda,
Your posting was most welcome. I have been trying to track down a Dr. Thomas.
C. Black who was listed in the Yazoo Co., MS tax records for 1843. I have
been under the assumption that he was a medical doctor but your post has
caused me to rethink my suppositions about Dr. Thomas Black. He could have
very easily have been a dentist. I have reason to believe that the name,
Marcus, may be associated with Thomas Black's family. Do you have anything on
your Berry Marcus Black's ancestry which would suggest a connection with Dr.
Thomas Black?
Thanks for any leads, no matter how insignificant.
