Capt. Alexander Black, of Salem Township, Champaigne county, (Ohio?).
He was a soldier in the Indian wars
in Kentucky and Ohio. Fought in the engagement at Maumee Rapids,
under General Wayne, Aug. 26, 1794. He died June 16, 1854, aged about
89 years. S 7/11.

I came across this while inter-library loan of a Kentucky Obit Book.

Hope this is helpful to some one.
This was the only Black listed in the Book.
