Hello All, I applaude all of you who are expressing themselves on the above
subject and would urge you not to give up at the "brick wall".
I have posted the following poem before, but would like to pass it on to
any new List members. Have a nice day, Warren

=== As Time Goes By
1993
As time goes by one thing is so sad,That some children grow up mever
knowing their Dad.
And there are some others who may never know,Who their Grandparents were or
where did they go.
Now if for you,the abone is true, here are some things that you should do.
Go post haste and talk to a few,Grandparents,an Aunt or an Uncle or two.
Write down the things you have seen or heard, along with the places and
dates they occurred.
On the back of photos, new and old, record who, when and where so the facts
will unfold.
For how many times, when viewing an old print, you were not sure who they
were,or what the event.
As time goes by,you often hear someone say,I wish I had ask Grandma about
that,before she passed away.
As time goes by you must agree, memories slip away, and written records
become the only history.
And if in your search, you find a skeleton now and then, you will now know
why you and cousin Jane are so close kin.
As time goes by,and you don't act,it will become more difficult to prove a
fact.
So if I were you,I would begin this day,to trace my lineage without delay.
As time goes by,as only it can,I hope this inspires you in tracing your clan.
