Hi Everyone

My mother died with I was 2 1/2 yrs old and my father when I was 13 and I
always felt the loss of parents. So, when I married and started my own
family, I found a little book called,"My Personal History and Family Record"
and started making entries in 1954 -- still have that little dog eared book
today.

After a few years I contacted a great aunt who was raised with my mother,
asking her for what she could tell me about my mother and dad. We
corresponded over the years, and then about four years ago her son contacted
me with the request that I give him information on my family for his Black
family history. I did and he sent me a small book with all my Black kin
that he had traced. I found it so fascinating I decided I had to get busy
and research my father's side (Younger) so I could give my children a piece
of their history.

>From there I expanded my research to cover my husband's side of the family.
I've never enjoyed anything more and since retiring in '95, spend all my
free time searching and building on all my lines.
