Hi,

This is my first post to this list. We are looking for information on my
gg-grandfather, William Alfred Black b.abt.1843/44 Livingston Co., KY
d.?? He married Francis Emiline Butler b. 1846/47 Macon Co., TN d. ??
Their 5th child, Charles Washington Black was born in Mill Creek, Union
Co., IL on 30 May 1881 d.11 Aug 1949 on his farm near Anna, Union Co.,
IL. He is buried in Pleasant Grove Cem. Murphysboro, IL. Charles
Washington Black married Myrtle Mae Reames b. Dec 1886 Reynoldsville,
Pope Co., IL d. 2 Mar 1964 Central City, Marion Co., IL the daughter of
John and Ella Fritch Reames in 1907. Myrtle is buried next to Charles
Washington Black.

We didn't find them on the Union Co., IL Census in any year. We found
Charles Washington Black's birth and death certificates in Union Co.
though. In 1920, Charles, Myrtle and their first 3 children are on the
Jackson Co., IL Census.

We are having such a hard time finding information on these elusive
ancestors of ours . They appear briefly somewhere and then just
disappear again. We would like to find out who the first 4 children
were, possibly any more children born after Charles, parents/siblings
of William Alfred Black.
