GGGGGF William Black left Ballymoney, County Antrim, N. Ireland with his
wife, Mary, and 5 children in 1790. They landed in Philadelphia and moved
on to Mifflin County, PA. In 1820 they bought land in Fairfield (now
Perry) County, Ohio. In 1858 GGGF William Black and his wife Catherine and
2 children homesteaded in Douglas County, Kansas. GF Earl Black sold the
Kansas farm in 1970/
