My Black ancestor, William G. Black was b 18 Oct 1814 in NC county unknown, m
Sarah C. Weddington, b 29 Aug 1819, Cabarrus Co. NC. They moved to Georgia
and evidently lived in Cobb Co. and Campbell Co. They are both buried in
Watson Cem. Douglasville,GA
They had nine children: William R. H., Phillip G. Bowman, Sindler B., John M.,
(my ggrandfather), Alexander G. W., Mary E., Sarah B., James L., and Wade E.
I have birth and death dates and most of the spouses if anyone is interested.
After the War, John M. left GA and went to Indiana with some Confederate (I
assume they were Confederate troops) and after a short while, he married the
sister of one of them and he and some of his Rider in-laws moved to Hempstead
Co. AR.
