I found some information on a James Black Sr., died in 1838. His wife Jane
and children James, Ezekiel, Melton, William, John, Samuel (possibly my
GGGrandfather) Ebenezer, Lucinda, and Mary Black, He had brothers and sisters
James, Ezekiel, Milton, Hugh, Margaret Black, and Mary Black Philips. I am
interested in finding more information on my GGGrandfather Samuel Black who
lived in Posey Co. IN. He was born Jan. 16, 1821 in Posey Co. He married Nancy
Ann Stallings, also from Posey Co. I have received much info on Nancy Ann and
the Stallings family from others on the net but so far nothing from the Black
side. Our Black line moved on to Cal. and then to Texas and Mexico.
There must be someone from the Posey Co., Ind. family out there. Thanks,
