Hi Listers,

I started to scan the Jasonville High School Diploma.
that was wrapped around a cardboard tube. The
diploma, being larger than the tube, obscured the ends
of the tube, and hid the paper it contained inside. It is a
large Diploma/ Certificate of completion from:

Southern - Indiana - Hospital - for - the - Insane

Under that heading is a small picture of two horse drawn
covered wagons. Below the wagons is written:

This certifies that SCHUYLER C. HANNA has completed
the required term of instruction in the TRAINING SCHOOL
for NURSES of the SOUTHERN INDIANA HOSPITAL for
the INSANE with credit for good character and conduct, and
has passed the examination of the regular coarse of two years.

The document has two slots cut in the lower left
hand corner with a piece of green silk like ribbon,
1 1/2" wide, threaded through the slots. Possible
a piece of the ribbon from a graduation gown???
