I am interested in the family of Adeline BLACK (b. GA 1813) who married
Jeremiah MURPHY (b. 1807 GA) in Carroll Co. GA in 1832. I followed
Adeline's family to Randolph Co. AL (1840 census) and Cherokee Co. AL
(1850 census) before they moved to Cherokee Co. TX (1860 census).

I found a 6/1/1845 Alabama land record that listed Lemuel BLACK as the
Patentee, Jeremiah MURPHEY as the assignee and location filed as Lebanon
land office. There are many more land records with Lemuel BLACK as
patentee for surrounding property between 1845 and 1860.

I have also found Lemuel BLACK in the 1827 Georgia Land Lottery and
several Georgia marriages for various Lemuel BLACKs.

I believe Adeline BLACK may be related to Lemuel BLACK. Does anyone
recognize this Lemuel BLACK?
