Nope -- your not the only one.
I've just recently started trying to trace my paternal grand-parents:

BLACK, HELEN 021-22-0605 (MA) b. 03 Apr 1897 d. 11 Feb 1994
lr. 33314 (Fort Lauderdale, Broward, FL)

BLACK, WILLIAM 013-20-3743 (MA) b. 28 Jun 1889 d. Sep 1970
lr. 02026 (Dedham, Norfolk, MA)

BLACK, WILLIAM 020-18-7932 (MA) b. 14 Feb 1897 d. Mar 1972
lr. 02124 (Dorchester, Suffolk, MA)

I'm not sure which of the William's at this point is mine.
I know they both immigrated from Scotland but I have very little
information other than that.
