I do not have your line, but I do have info on the 1790 census of NC for
the surname BLACK and in Caswell Co., There was a Sarah, Thomas, George,
and John BLACK listed and none for Person Co. That is all the info
available for those 4 people because the 1790 NC census was destroyed
and the different counties tried to recreate it by using tax records and
such. For Caswell Co. and a few other Counties, only the head of the
household was listed. I thought that if you didn't already know who
Sam's father was, those 4 would be a good start:). Good luck.
