Hi "BLACK" researchers,

I am trying to acquire information about my great
grandfather, Samuel Brown Black, b. Jan. 11, 1832
in WVA and d. Nov. 9, 1902 in California. I live high
in the Tehachapi mountains of California and
accessibility to a library is practically nil. I have no
knowledge of who he married, but do know who two
of his children were. My grandfather, Joseph William
Black b. abt. 1874 and Nellie Black b. 1882. I have
reached the scary age in life, were I'm the oldest
living Black in my family! I have no one to ask
questions, so could use some help. My grandfather's
middle name being Brown, may be of help! Does
anyone have Browns in their line?? Seems I have a
very colorful family, as my mother's name was Green!
I have done my best to keep my Black lineage going!
Out of my six children, three are sons! From my twenty-
two grandchildren, twelve are males and five have the
surname Black. Thanks for any help you may be able
to furnish.
