I am trying to learn something about my g.grandmother, Mary Ann
BLACK who was born c1845. She married John AITCHISON at
Pilcarles, Kincardineshire in December 1864. John was born in
Berwickshire, son of James AITCHISON and Elizabeth WILSON.
Their four children were born in Swinton & Simprim and Duns in
Berwickshire. Does anyone know anything about this family?

With three of their children, the eldest, Thomas, had drowned,
John and Mary Ann came to Australia in 1882 and settled in
Brisbane, Queensland.
