Hello.

I am looking for the parents of Jane BLACK, who married James BRARD (also
spelled BREARD) in New York City about 1796. She was probably born about
1770 in New York. Their children were Elizabeth, Maria and Jane BREARD,
all baptized in the Dutch Church in lower Manhattan.

Jane BLACK had a nephew, William BLACK, who was a prominent New York City
jeweller of the firm Ball and Black. He died in Connecticut.

Was she related to the many BLACK families who appear in the Presbyterian
Church reords of NYC in that time frame?
