I understand what she was referring to because I use AOL myself (I have 5
email accounts). I would just like to clarify a few things for the members
of this list. America On Line (AOL) has the ability to put background
colors in messages along with changing text colors. I believe this is true
for all web-based email servers. All you have to do to do this is know the
correct HTML code and anyone can do this. With people like Teri and myself,
depending on our email server, we cannot see the colors, they don't show up,
but they do for others, especially with AOL users. Teri, and the others on
the list who can't see the colors, you can tell if it has color in it
because there will be the html code (usually at the end of the message). I
am making a request of everyone who uses this list to please do NOT put in
colors into your email that you send to the list. I appreciate that so many
people on the list are posting their lines and thank you for that, but DO
NOT USE COLORS in the message. This is the second complaint today I have
recieved about the red/black colors in messages. If you want to use colors,
go ahead when you send private messages if it, but for the list, just don't
do it please. If it continues, I will manually unsubscribe people that use
colors (except for certain circumstances such as they don't know how to
change it, and in those cases, I will tell them how). I don't like to be
mean or unfair, but considering there are soooo many AOL subscribers (over
1/2 the list), I have to decide which I'd rather do, lose one or two people
who are using the colors or lose 1/2 the list because 1 or 2 people are
using colors...if you ask me, it's pretty obvious:) Sorry for the length.
