My grandfather (Boswell Carnegie Black, Jr.) had a brother named John
Malcolm BLACK,born 1867 in Malmsbury, Victoria, Australia. John's parents
were Boswell Carnegie Black, Sr. (born1827 Edinburgh, Scotland) who
emigrated to Australia and married Emma ANDREWS in 1854 in Melbourne,
Victoria. I don't know if John stayed throughout his life in Australia
or followed my grandfather when he emigrated from Australia to Indiana in
1884. If anyone has any BLACKs with roots in Australia, I'd sure like to
hear from them. There were 17 kids born to Boswell Sr. and Emma and I
have all of their names, birthplaces and years they were born.
