Time to list my BLACK family data in hopes of finding more ancestors. I am
trying to find the parents (and more) of THOMAS G. BLACK, born 7 March 1809,
Illinois (probably Pike Co.) , died 1 August 1868, Colusa, California. He was
the head of a wagon train coming to California during gold rush days. Married
Margaret Morrison(born 25 February 1819, Indiana, died 9 February 1902, Yolo
county, California) Her parents were James Dickinson Morrison (1793-1870) and
Lydia Lee 91798-1877). Children of THOMAS G. BLACK and MARGARET MORRISON BLACK
were: James Jefferson Black; Cynthia Jane Black; Mary Lydia Black (my line,
she married George Washington Freeman); Georgiana Dallas Black; John William
Black; Nancy Morrison Black; Charles Lee Black; Frank Edwin Black.
Any help would be great appreciated and of course I will share anything and
everything that I have on these down lines. Sorry this got so long.
