Hello Fellow Researchers,
I have a John Black ..b..ca 1755 in ? Mdi to Micah Marshall in Bedford
Co.Va. on 15th Nov. 1778..She was a dau. of William Marshall..who died ca
1784 in Campbell Co. Va.
John Black died in Dec.1814 in Campbell Co. Va John and Mica had the
following ch. 1.Nancy who md. ? Craddock.
2. Elizabeth who md.James Jones 5 Feb.1801
in Campbell Co. Va.
3. Mary Ann "Polly" who md.Charles Johnson
25 Feb.1807 Campbell Co. Va.
4. Sarah "Sally" who md. Smith Kent 20 Jan.1806 Campbell Co. Va.The moved
to Lawrence Co. Ala. by 1823.. Smith was decaesed by Christmas 1838.
Sally died before 1870 prob. Franklin Co. Ala.Or Colbert Co.
They are my line.
5. William md.Cathrine Cocks (Cox) Aug.1805 Campbell Co.Va.
6. Catharine Black
7. Susannah Black
8. David Black .. there was a Davic Black in that area of north west Ala.
about that time.
Could he be Sally's brother ?
9. Daniel Black
10. Kitty who md a Mann.
11. John Black, Jr.

All children mentioned in John Black, Sr. will. His widow was still
living and was on the 1830 Campbell Co. census. She was listed as
Michael..Census taker I guess, thought she was giving her husband's name
, or he
wrote down "Micah" like it sounded..??
Have no idea who were John Blacks parents or who were his siblings.. Hope
this helps someone out there..I would like to hear from the descendants
of these 11 children..
