>Dear Howard,
I am not sure whether my Black ancestors are of the Clan Lamont,
but they are from Scotland. My Great Great Grandmother Mary (Black)
Putnam was born to Charles and Helen (Robson) Black in Delry (possibly
Dalry) Scotland in 1850; her brother Andrew Black was born in Breem
Scotland in 1848. Andrew and Mary immigrated to Mount Forest, Ontario,
Canada in the mid nineteenth century.
Can you help me in tracing these ancestors back to Scotland. Any
help that you could give to me in this matter would be greatly
appreciated.
Sincerely,
Jim Wilson
