Fellow researchers - here is my Black family line. Any help on this would be
appreciated!

Jonathan Black b.ca. 1768 PA, m. Mary b.ca. 1775. Jonathan d. 08 April 1836
Hempstead County, Arkansas. Their children (known):

1. James Harvey Black b. ca 1802 ARK?. He married Nancy Barnett
Wheaton/Whetton 16 September 1823 Hempstead Co. ARK

2. Jonathan Black, Jr. (my line) b.ca 1803 TN and d. 1863 Jefferson Co. ARK.
He married Melania Wheaton/Whetton.

3. Penelope Rebecka Black b. 04 Sept 1811 Mississippi Territory. She
married Watson Reed likely in Hempstead Co. ARK. She d. 26 Jan 1886 in
Cisco, Eastland County, Texas. I have been to their graves.

Jonathan Black and Melania Wheaton's children:

1. R.E. Augustus Black b.ca 1830 ARK. He married 11 Sept 1851 Sarah
Armstrong in Jasper, Jasper Co. Texas.

2. Melania E. Black b.ca. 1835 ARK. She married Hanson H. Hough/Huff 20 Feb
1851 Jasper, Jasper Co. Texas. No known children.

3. Edwin L. Black b.ca. 1838 ARK

4. Sarah Elizabeth Black b. 28 Sept 1841 Hempstead Co. ARK. She married
Alexander Merrell 29 Nov 1857 in Jasper, Jasper Co. TX. She d. 18 Aug 1935
in Irene, Hill Co. Texas. Buried at the Salem Irene Cemetery, Irene, Hill
Co. Texas.

Per an interview with Sarah about 10 years prior to her death, she stated the
family had a total of 8 children. These are the only 4 I have found.
