Seeking information on Jonathan Black Sr. who was said to have been born ca.
1768 in Pennsylvania. He died 1836 in Hempsted Co. Arkansas. He was married
to Mary - have no last name. His obit is in the Ark. newspaper and only says
he came from Pennsylvania. He lived at Old Washington, Hempsted Co.,
Arkansas. Some family accounts link him to the James Black of Bowie knife
fame. Others say they were 2 separate families.
