MY FATHER AND MOTHER; Father: Charles Gustis Black, born in Garfield,
KY May 7, 1889. Died at Woodward, OK, buried at Eldorado, OK cemetary.
Married; Mary Alice Bandy, 30 Dec. 1906 Hardinsburg, KY. Mary died
in Altus, Ok in 1962, buried in Eldorado, Okla cemetary.

MY BROTHER AND SISTER: Sister: Flora Opal Black. born 11 August, 1907,
Married Howard Garrison. Died in 1975 buried in Altus, OK cemetary,
Children: Blanche, Doris, Carl Garrison. Brother: Clarence Arthur
Black, born in Eldorado, OK 15 Oct. 1910. Married Minnie Ruth Short
July 23, 1930 (now deceased) Children: Ruth Joan and Clarence Wayne.

MY GRANDFATHER: Samuel Carlton Black born in Garfield, Ky, Oct. 31,
1837 Son of Jacob Black and Sarah Argabright. First marriage to
Elizabeth Claycomb. Children by Elizabeth: Nancy A.; Artimissie; Emma
V.; George Washington Black.

MY GRANDMOTHER: Amanda Scott Long. married to Samuel Carlton Black,
Oct. 1 1848, In Hutchinville, Ky. Their children: Daniel S. 15 Feb,
1875 died young of typhoid in KY.; Henry F. born 27 April,1876, Died
of gunshot wound, thought to be accidental, in OK.;Mary Elizabeth,
Born in KY, 17 Dec. 1878. Alvin Franklin, born KY, 1 Sept, 1880;
Sarah Ethel, bn KY 28 May 1882; Ernest Lee, bn. KY. 27 March,1884;
Carlton Samuel, bn KY, 1887.; Charles Gustis, bn KY 7 May, 1889.

MY GREAT GRANDFATHER and GRANDMOTHER: Jacob Black, son of Frederick
Black, Jr (born 16 Nov. 1807 in Botetourt County VA) and Nancy
Cashman; Children: John C.; Samuel Carlton; Frederick Thomas. Second
marriage after the death of Nancy Cashman: Sarah Ann Argabright;
Children: Mary C.; William C.; Christopher Columbus, "Lum"; Melissa;
Washington L. "Wash"; James L.; Robert W.

MY GREAT GREAT GRANDFATHER AND GRANDMOTHER: great great granfather:
Frederick Black, Jr. born in PA or maybe MD, about 1764. Son of
Frederick Black, Sr. mother unknown; Marriage to Susannah Snyder,
(born in Prussia, July 4, 1780. died in Cass,MO 5 Dec. 1881 and
buried in Reed Cemetary. She had moved to MO with her husband and one
son in 1851, Fredrick returned to live with his son Jacob in Ky)
Frederick died in 1858. Children:Jacob, Sally; Joseph; Daniel; John;
Peter; Thomas. There may be others.

MY GREAT GREAT GREAT GRANFATHER: Frederick Black, Sr. also known as
Frederick Schwartz. He signed documents in both English and German.
He is thought perhaps to be the original immigrant, though that can
not be established.I have been unable to go past him in my research.
I do not know his wife's name. Known children, there are likely to
be others. Frederick Jr. born in PA or MD about 1754 and married
Susannah Snyder in 1804. Fredrick Sr. signed a marriage bond for them.
Elizabeth who married Luke Carroll 21 Oct. 1817. I have photocopies
of documents Frederick Sr. signed giving collateral for money
borrowed to by land and livestock. These were witnessed by a
Christian Black and a John Black. Must be relatives but I don't know
where they fit in. I have a copy of an inventory taken to settle
Frederick's estate dated December 1817. He must have died in
Botetourt County, VA sometime between 21 October 21 1817 when he sign
the marriage bond for Elizabeth and Luke and sometime in December
1817.

If anyone has information on Fredrick Sr., where he came from, who he
married, and other children I would appreciate it. Any information on
Christian and John would be appreciated as well as any information on
Frederick Jr. I have more details, births, deaths etc and multitiudes
of descendents including some personal histories and human interest
stories I would be happy to share if requested.
