Hi Tom, and welcome to Missouri! The name Black is so common that I doubt
any connection, but my own did live in Illinois and had kinfolk in
Chicago. Margaret Black, recently the widow of William living near Wigton,
Eng., immigrated with children and along with her Hobson brothers
1821 to Greene Co. IL. Son Thomas Black had a mother-in-law, Emeline
(Wood) Avery, who d. 1891 in Chicago.

I've just signed off the Black list for now.
