I am looking for information regarding Lewis Barnhart b. 1808/1809 in NC, d.
1860/1870 Cabarrus Co., NC married Esther Blackwelder b. 1811/1812 Cabarrus
Co., NC. The appear to have had 8 children, some staying in the NC area,
and some moving to GA. I am related to the GA children.

It appears that their children were: Tobias, Simon, Jacob, Peter, Adam,
Mary Ann, Martha Catherine and John Wiley. The name appeared in some Census
as Barnhart and that is the way Tobias apparently spelled his name - then
around 1905 the last name appeared as Bernhardt.

I haven't found Lewis' parents - and I need more info about the families
that stayed in NC.
