My ancestor David Bearinger ( a Mennonite) (aka Berringer and Barringer) came from PA to Waterloo County Ontario Canada just prior to 1812, and he had numerous sons including Samuel and Solomon and William who all moved to Michigan as adults. They were Pennsylvania Dutch/German. As a matter of fact I am fluent in the language that people call "Pennsylvania Dutch"
Some vitals on Samuel are as follows;
Name:Samuel B. Bearinger 16 May 1821 - 20 Jan 1904
Parents:David Bearinger (1787?-1849) and Sarah Smith (1797-1860)
Samuels Marriage (1):Mary W. ( -1890).
Born in Canada. Died on 10 Jun 1890.
24 Aug 1849 Death of Father:David Bearinger
14 Mar 1860 Death of Mother:Sarah Smith (1797-1860). In Maybe ??????First Mennonite Cemetery, Kitchener Plot D14.8.
Jun 1860Samuels Son born (1-#1):William Bearinger (1860-1923). Born in Michigan. Died in 1923, buried in Stiles Cemetery, Mayfield Twp., Lapeer Co., MI.
Who are your Barringer relatives and ancestors and their spouses?
What information do you have RE: Barringer Loyalists who came to Ontario...This information is critical in explaining the strange and mysterious splitting up and moving around of the 1780-1814 era Bearingers/Berringer/Barringer families.
