Hi all! I'm tired, but I have good news! I have up through the 1840 census
for NC on the site now, every variation of "Barringer" I could find using a
soundex search! I had no idea there were that many Barringers in NC!!! You
can see from what I have up there that they didn't move around a lot, they
pretty much stayed in Cabarrus, Iredell, Lincoln, and Rowan Counties. I was
surprised I didn't find any at all in Mecklenburg County. Wonder what they had
against Mecklenburg County :) hehe. Good luck in your research all and
hopefully I'll get up through at least the 1850 NC census next week, maybe 1860
(I can only work on them during my lunch breaks).
