noticed in a Mecklenburg Co NC book that Erasmus and Matthias Benninger also are listed as Barringer (and I have also their last names as Penninger). Are these names synonymous?
Trying to determine who the Matthias Penninger who acted as surety for the marriage of Catherine Penninger m Christopher Sides Jr in 1820. Could this have been Matthias Barringer?
Does anyone have family names and dates of the Matthias Barringer who was in Mecklenburg/Cabarrus Co, NC, including children? Was there a Catherine who was born c 1805?
