Do you know the name of any of Rufus's other sons. My 4th great grandfather was born in NC in the mid 1870's and am wondering if there could be a connection. His name was Lawrence Barringer. He was in Bedford Co PA in the 1800 census plus his name is on the buying land there. That is all I have been able to find on him. I am wondering if his father could have been John Paul.
