Hi Mary, and I can give you briefs on this branch.
Christian Abendschon was b 9 Sep 1716, the son of Samuel Heinrich Abendschon
and Maria Barbara Rambacker/Rambacher, and d bef 20 Jan 1794, in Cab Co NC
Court Mins., p 13, 20 Jan 1794 ' Last Will and Test. proved in open crt by oath
of Niclas Cook Sr, and Abraham Missenheimer, Exr. Joseph Shinn/Rynhold
Abenshon.
I have married date as 10 Nov 1744 to Anna Catharina (Katharina) Beringer
(the old spelling, like BEAR-Ringer), who was born 14/or 18 Apr 1720 in Germany,
and was to have died by 1802 in Cab. Co NC. She was the daughter of Johann
Matthaus Beringer b 12 Mar 1692 Germany, m Apr 1715, and anna Catharina Boger b
8 Dec 1691, dau of Johann Paul Boger and Anna Margaretha. Further records
gathered said they had children:
Christian 12 Aug 1745, Matthaus b 7 Mar 1747 died young, Wilhelm 25 May 1749,
and Reinhold (no dates.) This data was taken from The Northern Kraichgau
"Eighteenth Centurt Emigrants", on p 32-33. The book reads in part:
m 10 Nov 1744 Christian Abendschon (two dots over the "o", son of Samuel
Abendschon, wagon maker, and Catharina, daughter of Matthai Beeringer. Then list
the above children with dates I have written. In Strassburger- Hinke
"Pennsylvania German Pioneers", Vol 1, p 424, shows the 17th (8ber) 1749. Here, I'm
not sure as the 8 is written, with the ber at the top. I first thought
"September? October" but that doesn't match up our calender years. Imported on the
Ship Fane, Capt. Wm Hyndman from Rotterdam, but last from Cowes in England, did
this day take the usual Oaths to the Government. Palatine, Wirtemberg,
Rottenstein. By the list
among others: Reinholt ABENDSCHONN, Christian ABENDSCHON.
In Mecklenburg Co NC Land Entries (1778-1795) they write the name as Rinholt
OVINSHINE, and Christian OVINSHINE. The "writer" probably only wrote the name
as he heard it "roll off their lips", thus the spelling difference.

Your second request was on John Paul Barringer and his family. I'm sorry, I
don't have evidence in my material of the arrival of the rest of John Paul's
family. Or if I ever had it.
"The Eighteenth Century Emigrants", Vol. 1 The Northern Karichgau, by Annete
Kunselman Burgert, p 54-55, shown and # 39 reads
BERINGER, PAUL, Phoenix, 1743, S-H 346, Schwigern Lutheran KB: (what ever all
that means?)
In the "Names of German, Swiss, and other Immigrants - 1743, shown from page
163-164 as Sept. 30, 1743. Foreigners imported in the ship PHOENIX, William
Wilson, commander, from Rotterdam, last from Cowes. I believe the next written
words are a repeat of this sentence, written in German?.
Among others we see Paulus Behringer. In Germany his names was Paulus
Behringer, old family name, but in America became John Paul Barringer, John Paul
arrived America in 1743, to Philidelphia PA. He stayed there until about 1753
and went into the settlement Dutch Buffalo. My notes say before 1753 he sent to
Germany for parents and younger brother & sister. Both parents died & buried
at sea. A tombstone erected on John Paul's grave (placed there at later date
(1923?) as a memorial, contain the words of John's parents being Wilhelm &
Paulina Behringer who died and were buried at sea in Aug. 1748 while on their way
to America. (one has to "assume" then the children were brought into the
county by other passengers, family? or the Capt.
1761 a deed for 100 ac. 1778 deed for acres in Mecklenburg Co with sons,
George, Matthias, & John. He married Anna Elizabeth Eisman/Iseman, dau of Caspor
Iseman and Marie Crete. Anna arrived to American on Ship Samuel 17 Aug 1733
from Rotterdam, shown as 11 years old. My notes show they married ca 1744-1750,
prob in Luzern Wyoming Valley, Bucks, PA, I descend from this John Paul
Barringer, thru his son (by first wife), John Barringer & Christiana Catrina
Killian, whose son was Paul Barringer/Anna Margaret Elizabeth Peck, whose daughter
Christana Caroline b 1816 married John Bangle, son of Henry Bangle, the oldest
man to ever live in Mecklenburg Co NC. Many of my family dates come from the
St Johns Cemetery.
Hope this might be useful.
Warm Regards, Mac Elliott
