Melissa--There were many William BARRINGER/BERNINGERS out there in ancestor-land.
One that I know of was William BARENGER who married Sarah CAMPBELL in Fairfield
Co., OH in 1811. I know there was also an Andrew BERNINGER in Fairfield
about that time, and there were ROUSH/ROUCH families there, too. The reason
I looked twice at William in Fairfield Co. is because there were also some
BERNINGER/CAMPBELL connections in Columbia Co., PA, where my BERNINGER
came from. I know 1811 is too early for your William, but could this William
be his father?
