What is the state for your William Barringer?

My g,grandfather was a William Barringer b. 1838, Houston Run, PA. His
parents were George Barringer/Bearinger b. 1797, Bedford Co., PA. and Mary
Shallenberger b. 1793, Westmoreland Co., PA.

George Barringer had family ties in Maryland.

Since I have no info on the parents or siblings of George Barringer, possibility
exists that your William could be a brother or a nephew if your family
was from PA or MD.
