I am posting to see if A. the Barringer list still exists; and , B. Am I
still subscribed to it. The list has been so quiet.

I am looking for information on a George Barringer (Bearinger) b. 1797,
Bedford, PA, m. Mary Shallenberger b. 1793, PA. They are found on the 1850
Census under the surname Bearinger living in Cookstown(later called Fayette
City), Fayette Co., PA. They are both buried at the Monongahela Cemetery,
Mon. City, Washington Co., Pa. Their sons John and William who both served
in the 79th PA Cavalry are there as well.
