Just in case there are some new people on the Barringer list, I wanted to
post my g,g,grandfather George Barringer b. abt. August 16, 1797, born in
Bedford Co. PA. He married Mary (maiden name unknown) and is found in the
Fayette Co. 1850 Census as George Bearinger. I am descended from his son
William Barringer b. December 11, 1838. William first married a Mary Ann
Rose who died in 1779. In 1888, he married my g, grandmother Ida May
Landis.

The Barringer family is buried at the Old Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela,
Washington Co., Pa.

I have been told that this Barringer (Bearinger) family had ties to family
in Maryland. Would like to hear from anyone who had Barringer ancestors
from around Bedford Co. and Maryland. Also, Washington, Fayette, and
Westmoreland Counties as well.
